I still use aquariums for my rats. I'm still in the dark ages .lol How many Rats do you keep and breed. I have about 70 breeders all together males and females.

actually they started breeding a little too slow so most of the breeders got fed off...right now i have 2 breeder females (good thing its fasting time) and one of them is sitting on top of 19 babies...those glass aquariums got too heavy to keep lifting and these plastic tubs work great...except for the fact that a lot of the bedding ends up on the ground and you may have to replace the zip ties every once in a while

I use glass cause it's the only thing . I can find that they don't chew through eventually. They do get heavy but No more than the litter that is dumped out of them. I dump all mine in one big tub and then carry it out and dump it. The rat litter make good mulch and compost though. I have several people that come by and help me clean just so they can get the rat litter. So it isn't too bad. My wife helps me alot . I also have plenty of time in the day to do it to. That helps alot.

ya well i have no one to help me out...those plastic tubs works good tho just you have to replace some of the zip ties and another positive thing about them is that they are stackable

Oh I'm not doubting there usefullness. I use tubs to house small rats but adults I use glass.
